Defeating even the blokes behind Take Me to Your Heaven, Laura Voutilainen won the Finnish final with the backing of both the televoting public and the proper-posh juries with the retro Addicted to You.

Having listened to it twice, I still can't say that I remember it, but it should put Finland over the 30 point mark for the first time since, believe it or not, 1989.

Considering that the Scandinavian bloc has eight wins between them, you'd think Finland's songwriters would've pulled their fingers out by now, wouldn't you?

EUROREF SAYS: This has already done well in the Finnish charts with more than two months to go until the final. Finland have never finnished in the first five, and I sadly think they're going to be as sick as a parrot again this year. Probably first 15.
