- giving point to the pointless -
Updated: July 13, 2004
Before anyone asks (which they haven't) Piero & The Music Stars with their makes-Jemini-sound-like-ABBA performance of Celebrate will not feature in Absolute Zero. This poll only concentrates on songs which made it through to the final of the ESC - getting zilch in the semi just doesn't count. Did you like the serious bit there? Were you scared? Bet you were.
Anyway, back to those people you never saw in shot when a 'douze' was announced. Eleonore Schwartz has now cracked the Top 10, despite never troubling the Top 20 in the pre-Jemini poll. She must have friends in electronic places.
The most surprising aspect of this poll is Kojo's slump to 30th place. When the first round of Absolute Zero finished in May 2003, he was in the top five. Oh me, and indeed, oh my.
Nora Nova is perilously close to going Top 5 (and do you know, I've never even heard the song. Is it any good?).
Also, pre-update, one little monkey simply gave the 10 lowest-placed songs points, starting with 12 for the one in last place, and one for that in 24th - ignoring a Finnish song for some reason. I thought it was quite funny, actually. You are such sympathetic voters...
With that in mind, do note there is only a relatively small 54 points between the songs placed 34th and 10th. Hmm.
Keep voting! A link to the user-friendly voting-form is at the foot of the table.
This update's highest climbers are
highlighted in green for Ruslana and the Greek
national football team.
This update's biggest droppers are highlighted in red for That bloke who sang High and Tim Henman.
